Waeger has been involved in bridge construction since 1987, before offering design and construct projects in the early 1990’s. Waeger specialises in the following areas;
Our bridgeworks range from highway and rail bridges to pedestrian bridges and small farm bridges. Our customers include private developers, Local Government, State Government bodies, large construction firms and various Rail Authorities.
Our experience in bridgeworks ranges from working in sensitive environmental areas to building over or under live railways or roadways and working in a limited time frames such as rail possessions or nightworks.
Waeger recognise each project as being unique and will use a solution that provides the best outcomes for our customer. Whilst we will use standard products where possible, we will also look to customise our products to suit the specific site conditions and choose the solution that best fits the site.
Waeger offers various precast modular bridging systems that can also be customised to suit a wide range of configurations. Cast-situ systems are an option utilising prestressed concrete beams for projects that are not suited to a full precast concrete solution.
We will draw on our extensive construction experience to choose piling or foundation type that will best suit specific geotechnical conditions of the site. The best value for money solution for our customer is vital to us.
Waeger projects have been nominated for and won several industry awards. These include awards from Civil Contractors Federation National Award for the Woy Woy Pedestrian Bridge and Devonshire Pedestrian Bridge at Maitland. We are also proud winners of the Master Builders Association Excellence in Building Awards Newcastle for the Newcastle Memorial Walk.
Waeger can also offer extensive bridge maintenance and repair services for both concrete and timber bridges and hold a NSW restricted demolition licence.
